"Some evidence for the argument that nesting behavior DIDN'T change"

#PokemonGO: Today I visited the most efficient nest in my area. It's not a huge nest, but it has all the spawn points nicely lined up along a path, so it's easy to encounter 30-40 Pokémon within 15-20 minutes, and 8-10 nesting species among them. Here is what I found in my 23 minutes there (supported by screenshots if needed):SpeciesSeen countLuvdisc11Kricketot3Bellsprout2Poochyena2Murkrow2Bidoof2Turtwig2Weepinbell1Shuppet1Chimchar1Mr. Mime1Sudowoodo1Barboach1Teddiursa1Shroomish1Paras1Treecko1Larvitar1Spinarak1Spheal1------Total37Conclusions1) 29.7% of the encountered Pokémon (11/37) belong to a nesting species, Luvdisc. This is close to the well-known figure of 25% spawn rate for nests.2) No other species exceeded a 10% spawn rate.3) The only other species encountered multiple times are either common in that bug/grass biome (Bellsprout, as even a Weepinbell spawned; probably Kricketot too) or common in general (Poochyena, Murkrow, Bidoof) or boosted by the event (Turtwig, maybe Bidoof and Kricketot too). Actually the only "surprising" spawns out of all 37 were the 11 Luvdisc and the Larvitar.4) I can't say of course whether there will be changes over time. So I will monitor that nest in the forthcoming days to check if it still behaves as a Luvdisc nest.5) I also can't say whether other nests behave differently. I will check other nests if I can, and I encourage people with access to large or "efficient" nests to check theirs.Anyway I still think that, until proof of the contrary, nests are still areas where every spawn point has a 25% probability of spawning the nesting species, and that they migrate every two weeks except when nesting species are added or removed.EDIT: u/Charter23 has made a very good post to explain how the three consecutive migrations may have confused people and how the perceived "changes" can be explained with the current knowledge. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2QTeIYy
