"Optimizing your Cresselia Beat Down Squad [GamePress]"

#PokemonGO: Link to ArticleThe article is titled "Cresselia and the Meta" but lets be real here: Cresselia is basically Regi-psychic. Low attack, high bulk, and virtually no use in the meta. Be that as it is, we’re stuck with this duck until the 18th; you may as well hone your raiding party. This article maps out the best counters to the raid graphically, describes the qualities of some of the greatest attackers, and highlights some significant cut off points for powering them up. All in all, 4-6 high powered Shadow Claw/Lick Gengar paired with Shadow Ball Mewtwo and/or Tyranitar should get the job done easily. It’s actually pretty interesting just how good Gengar is in this raid. Usually I favor “decent DPS, high TDO” Pokemon but the stats check-out: Even though Gengar looks like a “Glass Cannon” graphically, its performance is great enough where it’ll only feel like one vs Future Sight. I’d venture that a player with a full squad of these spooky bois could reasonably net +3 damage bonus balls in random raid groups with less than 10 players.TL;DRCresselia’s badSmash it with GengarTyranitar and Shadow Ball Mewtwo are excellent as well and could fully prevent relobbyingMetagross is similarly a mega tank, but takes a significant DPS dropPeople think Weavile and Honchkrow are better than Tyranitar? At least in this raid they aren’t really, no.A full team of Lick/Shadow Claw Gengar will likely allow you to raise above your local plebs and score +3 damage bonus balls.Aggron is a bad counter, but Aggron also helps potentiate that last point so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Edit: I don't know if ya'll are memeing on me, but let me break it downWhy TTar > WeavileAt level 40, 15 atk IV, best friends, TTar does ~15.5 DPS where Weavile does ~15.68 DPS.This looks like a clear defined win for Weavile, but TTar is much more tanky and just how significant is 0.18 DPS?(weird napkin math incoming, feel free to correct me)12500/15.5-12500/15.68 = 9.26s"12500" being 100% raid boss HP, so this 9.26 advantage is only experienced if we're comparing just 1 immortal Weavile and 1 immortal Tyranitar given over 800s to win the raid.Assuming you're dealing at least 20% of the total raid damage yourself with Weavile, the advantage is really ~1.85s (9.26*0.2)Running a quick sim of 5 Weavile and 5 Tyranitar taking on Cresselia on GoBattleSim (both averaged over 200 results), the TTar squad appears to be leading by 1.5s. This is likely due to the death lag experienced by the Weavile squad. 18 deaths vs 13.TL;DRLol Weavile. This isn't to say that Weavile will always be behind Tyranitar in every raid. It just is in this one. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2P6t0nv
