"iOS External GPS?"

#PokemonGO: My daughter got an iPod touch for Christmas—my husband and I have unlimited data so we set up our phones as personal hotspots for her but the GPS signal is spotty at best. It’s frustrating because everywhere we go, we have full bars and LTE but she gets the GPS signal lost error while maintaining internet connectivity for other apps.Will an external GPS chip (i.e. the Garmin Glo or Bad Elf lightning connector) fix this issue used in conjunction with connecting via our personal hotspot?In advance, purchasing a phone is not an option. She is too young for me to even consider adding a line on our package and I’m not paying a monthly fee (phone access) just for her to play.
