"Learned the hard way about EXRaids.."

#PokemonGO: So yesterday my cousin received his first ever EXRaid pass and invited me to what would be my first ever EXRaid. The event is from 3-3:35pm. I rush home from work to let my dog out, then drive 40 minutes to his house, we leave his house and drive 30 minutes to the raid. We are waiting for a couple friends and they get there at 3:02pm, we go to jump in like any other raid and when they go to invite me it doesn't work because "The event already started" Turns out anyone with a raid pass can jump in anytime between the start and end time, but for the invite to work they have to send it before the egg hatches. It was truly a bummer as I usually miss out on raids due to work and finally had a chance at an awesome Pokemon like Deoxys. This is a PSA for anyone else that has never had a pass before so you hopefully don't have to sit on the sidelines and watch all your friends play without you. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2LGBP74
