"Beware of pickpockets"

#PokemonGO: I don't know how to start this post so I'm going to tell what happened to my little sister to put some context:My sister (16) and I always play Pokémon GO here in Peru, we have the luck to live near from many PokeStops, so we almost everyday go for a walk doing raids and hatching eggs. But a month ago her 2 year old cellphone started to malfunctioning and the battery started to drain a lot faster, so she stopped doing long walks with me and she played PoGo only when a raid was two blocks from my house.Because her birthday is approaching she decided it was time to upgrade from his basic $80 chinese phone (THL T9 Pro) to another more reliable (a year ago she had to change the battery due a swollen battery), so we looked online and decided to buy a $170 phone (Xiaomi Mi A2 lite) from a very well known chinese online store, she payed $100 from her savings and my parents $70 as her birthday present. The day the phone arrived she was very excited to have finally a new phone with better battery and capacity to play again PoGo with family and friends. The following day she went to her English classes not far from home always looking after her new phone and carrying it in her backpack, after leaving her classroom she participated in a Raid (her school is a Gym) and then put the phone in her pocket and went to a bench with a friend to prepare to leave the building and return to home. But before she could reach the bench, two ladies (one with a toddler), that saw her and her friends playing PoGo a while ago, started bumping from behind and from both sides at her (clearly on purpose) saying "excuse me, I want to pass through". When she finally reached the bench she noticed her phone wasn't in her pocket. She went to the reception and notified to security the theft of her phone, reception lend her the phone to make a call home telling us what happened. But nothing can be done because the school having a disclaimer on lost things. And the next day the security man was warning the students to take care of their phones because many phone thefts inside the school were reported in the last days. What I want to say is take care of your phones and tell your little ones to look after too. A lot of people take advantage about we use our phones outside to know who is carrying a phone and what kind of phone we have (I guess this ladies mistook the Xiaomi for an iPhone X because the notch) and always stay alert even if you believe you are in a secure place, thieves and pickpockets not always look like such and take advantage of our 2 min of naivety to attack.Talk with your little one about tips to prevent theft, sooner or later we could be victims of that (again), and it affect more if the victim is still young (she doesn't want to return to that school or play PoGo). Don't let a gift or a birthday get ruined because unscrupulous people. Thanks for reading until the end. Take care! via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2CxQ8qA
