"PvP Ultra League: Giratina Analysis [GamePress]"

#PokemonGO: Link to full articlePvP is still at its earliest stages, but as the metagame develops, it seems like one pokemon is starting to define the Ultra League: none other than the dark lord Giratina. With the deadly combo of Dragon Breath and Dragon Claw and its sheer bulk it can run through teams by itself, and anyone unfortunate enough to have unpreparedly faced one will probably confirm this. In this article we dipped our toes into full PvP territory, using both first hand experience and extensive simulations with GoBattleSim to understand the reasons behind its dominance and outline the best ways to deal with it.TL;DRGiratina defines Ultra League, with the Dragon Breath and Dragon Claw combo it beats most top threats (only Blastoise and Cresselia may give it some trouble), dominates most neutral matchups and even quite a few unfavorable ones (like Dark-types)The most reliable and bulky counter is Steelix, hands down, absolute unit. Melmetal also does the jobIce-types work too, especially legacy Lapras and Alolan Ninetales (watch out for Ancient Power though) but also Piloswine and Alolan SandshrewGranbull and Wigglytuff, for once, can be very useful against itIn Ultra League it’s better be prepared for Giratina or be prepared to lose, and not even Dialga will likely change thatStill TL;DR?
