"Worth it to power up a "versatile" Mewtwo with Thunderbolt + Ice Beam?"

#PokemonGO: For these two weeks I was considering to power up a fresh Mewtwo from the last T6 wave we've had. It will specifically not have Shadow Ball, though its focus will be coverage with Psycho Cut / Thunderbolt - Ice Beam.It'll be a hefty investment though. I will need to spend about 120 Rare Candies to max him out from L20 and unlock the second charged. I currently have about 180 Rare Candies to spare (i.e. not currently assigned to future investments) and I'm basically okay with my Groudon's and Kyogre's.Is it going to be actually worth it or just a fun diversification?
