"Clamperl event kinda ruled"

#PokemonGO: Know it’s a bit late but yesterday was hectic and wanted to make a post about this regardlessAlso want to preface I feel super bad for everyone that got hit with outages and bugged tasked and couldn’t participate, sucks hardcore and you guys deserve a rescheduleBut man, I went into this event kinda dreading it after the dreadful feebas event but ended up having an insane amount of fun this time around.I’m in NA and the feebas event was abysmal. Huge, dangerous blizzard the entire time, god awful tasks that took forever while it was whipping wind and snow, trudging through metres of it in -30°C weather, it just sucked. Got like 6-7 feebas out of it (actually managed a shiny somehow off that but still think it was awful) so my hopes weren’t high for this event.But man, this one kinda ruled tbh. Hundreds of people downtown doing it, concurrent Latias raids were awesome, absolute insane amount of spawns the majority of which could be shiny, decent and quick tasks for clamperl (the ones that worked lol) great stardust amounts, I walked like 15km and the event just felt like it flew by. Seriously, really enjoyed this event and was extremely pleasantly surprised. I’m glad niantic listened to feedback for once because the difference between these events were night and day and the mini water festival they included is the major difference. Keep it up niantic! Between this and the valentines event, what’s usually the soulless dredge of winter has been insanely fun the last couple weeks because of this and it makes me really look forward to what this game can offer going forward. Please please please continue to listen to feedback and community concerns, this is what happens when you do! (Again except for the outages and people that got screwed, that needs to be addressed badly)I just love that even though I played this event solo like usual I can have an insane amount of fun regardless, part of why I love Pokemon Go so much.I will say though, kinda surprised when I woke up and saw clamperl could be shiny. It was great, made it worth grinding tasks, but I saw a lot of people on these subs and locally that preemptively made other plans and skipped this event because there was no mention of it. People thought there was less pressure to miss this event, less FOMO but kinda got screwed out of it. Niantic stated in the announcements for feebas day in advance that it could be shiny but didn’t for this one, they don’t absolutely have to and I enjoyed the surprise but the precedent set with the previous announcement for feebas made people believe it wasn’t going to be shiny and made other plans because of it. Just a thought.TLDR: event was surprisingly great, enjoyed it a ton, awesome spawn rates and full odds shiny chances, concurrent raids ruled, keep it up do these again if they’re gonna be like this! via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2IBNIxl
