"As an organizer of a local PvP-League: It would be so much better to not limit pvp battles to ultra friends."

#PokemonGO: Hi there. In our city we have a decently huge pvp community and we started to test an "online" (as in not being next to each other) League in January and planned to start it in a serious way in february, and every month was ment to be a "season".Even the "test league" was a success, with 18 active Trainers. A lot of matches didnt happen, because those Trainers didnt have enough "friendship level". We thought "ah, nevermind. Next month they will have enough friendship!".Well... We didnt expect that kind of interest from trainers that werent playing in the league already, so we had 24 active players for february, and the same thing happened again. Due to not all tainers getting their needed friendship level, other battles did not happen. People even started to meet in real life, so they could battle, but its not that easy, because some of them study in another town, or are only in the city on weekends, etc...Now we are in march and we have 34 active players, we even had to split our leagues in 2. This time, we planned it better, and we tried to have new Trainers starting the friendships right when they "applied". But no... Out of 240 matches, 26 could not be played. For April we are heading to 40 active players, and we can already see that not everyone will have enough friendship level. Its a shame that this has to happen. So lets be honest... 30 days for being able to battle is so over the top... I understand that they dont want to let people abuse friendship for trading, but there is no "market" for abusing battles.tl;dr: limiting "online" battles to ultra friends is a real pain, and doesnt make much sense, for organizers of pvp leagues and tournaments. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2Wqy3TE
