"British culture may not have any effect on the starters."

I've seen a lot of speculation about the starters for gen 8, talking about the inspiration for them, what they may evolve into, typing etc.The most popular theories I've seen are:-Grookey being inspired by the rock/metal history of England.-Scorbunny being based off of a football player or evolving into a knight.-Sobble being either a banshee, a kelpie or Loch Ness monster inspired. However, I wanted to bring up that the starters rarely seem to be tied to their regions culture. Unova had a samurai and a Greek wrestler, Kalos had the incredibly japanese ninja frog along with the rpg class archetypes of paladin and mage, Alola had an archer, a luchadore and an opera singer.Correct me if I'm wrong but if the theories are right, this would be the first generation where all 3 starters have readily apparent ties to their region. So I'm thinking the possibilities for the starters may be more open than people currently think. Granted I could be totally overlooking something obvious or just be ignorant to other cultures, in which case I apologise.Just a thought that I wanted to throw out, see if it sparks a little discussion.Edit: I mentioned Unova having a "Greek wrestler" in reference to Emboar but he's actually Chinese with some Greek design flair(?) via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2T8Qe2U
