"My son is an old-school Pokemon purist"
#PokemonGO: My 4 boys started playing PoGo when it launched. All of them loved the anime, previous video games and the card games. They all pretty much faded out until maybe a year ago, especially when the oldest got married to an amazing woman who loves the game. The 2 oldest still play reasonably regularly. They got me started last summer and now I'm the Pokemon GO king of the family. They created a monster, lol.Anyway, was chatting with my 2nd youngest who is 18 (has barely played since launch) about some of my recent escapades. While scrolling through my 'Mons, he sees Aolan Ninetails and it blew his mind. "Ninetails is the fire fox, not an ice type! That's just wrong!" So I started to show him the Aolan variations I have and he was having none of it. Aolan Grimer and Muk particularly annoyed him. I was telling him I have three Ho-ohs and he went into a fake rage "There's only one Ho-oh! How can you have three!". The dude was seriously not happy about how his beloved characters have "evolved" in PoGo.When you think if it, it's a funny reversal of the common trope of the older generation not liking the stuff of the newer generation. "Back in my day, if you wanted a Gyrados you had to work it, not just walk around for a while with Magikarp as your buddy!" via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2V5Vhy7
