"Is it time to introduce Breeding to solve the Mime Jr. problem?"
#PokemonGO: I think introducing breeding would be a decent way to solve the Mime Jr problem. You can breed Mr Mime for an egg so it keeps Mime Jr somewhat regional, with Europeans having no issues obtaining Mr Mime and non-Europeans who got one from 7ks/on vacation have a shot too.Breeding could also offer other advantages to the player, like passing down legacy/completely new moves (you can pass down moves in the main series via breeding), a guaranteed way to get candy and a shot a better IVs/shiny for a specific Pokémon. But wait, I hear you say - "Niantic would never jeopardise incubator sales, the egg hatching lottery makes them too much money". Well I've thought of a few ways on how it can be beneficial for Niantic too:Mime Jr is the last baby Pokémon until at least Gen 8. No baby Pokémon were introduced in gens 5,6 & 7 (and there will probably not be any in gen 8 either). Which means there are no more Pokémon where it makes sense to make them egg-exclusive. Which means a big part of the egg hatching lottery is gone any way.It would combat hatching fatigue. A lot of players are getting tired of the egg hatching lottery, which isn't good for the game long term. They can limit the breeding. I was thinking they could do it by turning some stops into day cares, and to breed you'll need to drop your Pokémon off in the day care. But to use it you'd need a "day care pass" or similar - which would be like raid passes in that you get one a day but then you need to buy more.It can increase the social aspect of the game, if you are not allowed to breed 2 of your own pokémon. Maybe they can make breeding limited to 2 Pokémon of ultra friends+ - so you'd need to organise a breeding session to get a specific Pokémon like Mime Jr ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2VyV7Tq
