"Maximizing the usefulness from every event by catching as many "useless" Pokemon as possible"

#PokemonGO: In every event most of us are anxiously hunting for the new shiny and often ignore every other spawn. A few events ago I decided to actively hunt whatever Pokemon is not very common around me. In this event, I am hunting Spinarak and Yanma and Surskit with a goal to reach 1000 candies for each of them. This way you secure an abundance of candies for Pokemon that are "useless" and you will never power up. The additional benefit of doing this will appear in future events as often there is a new shiny that could be encountered by evolving a random "useless" Pokemon and there the extra candies can be super useful. I had 1200 Natu candies in an older event that helped me get a shiny Pineco without much effort. The same thing with the quest to evolve Meowth for flower Eevee or Kabuto for shiny Aerodactyl.Hence, my suggestion would be catch as many event related spawning Pokemon as possible, you never know when those extra candies will turn out to be super useful. Maybe in a couple of months we will need to evolve 2 Surskit to get a shiny Weedle, who knows? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2U07mn5
