"Scyther event spawns boosted in incorrect weather (cloudy)"

#PokemonGO: My community noticed that Scyther spawns were behaving unexpectedly, so we split up two sets of neighboring L10 S2 cells and went out and counted spawns. We counted only recorded spawns more than 1 hour after the weather changed to cloudy or otherwise to avoid pollution from previous weathers.Area 1 (Cloudy)52/509 Scyther95% confidence interval allows for a 7% - 13% spawn rate with these observationsArea 2 (Partly Cloudy / Rain)10/750 Scyther95% confidence interval: 1-3% spawn rateBiome effects were considered but the two areas generally share very similar biome profiles. Also, when the two areas flipped (cloudy area became rainy, partly cloudy/rainy area became cloudy) the spawn effect reversed and the previously Scytherless area became infested. There are no large Scyther nests in either area (although there is a small ~5 spawn point Scyther nest in the area with the lower spawn rate)For a while, Pokémon Go events seemed to ignore biome/weather/time of day, favoring consistent boosts but it seems those effects are back, and also seem wrong when applied to Scyther. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2K4Ucpn
