"EYES UP ALERT COMMUNITY FEEDBACK"

#PokemonGO: Hello fellow trainers.A bit over a week ago I posted this post about a missing pup.I honestly didn't expect the post to get a lot of traction, but you all blew me away with willingness to support some one in need.Fortunately the pup was recovered very quickly, and all was well.It however lead to a discussion on our unique ability as trainers in the field to assist with boots on the ground operations.Feedback in that post was generally positive, and we have decided to move forward if you guys still feel the same. This post is for feedback on the idea, and what we as mods will be doing(so far, we will be taking all feedback into consideration before making anything live) to make sure /r/pokemongo doesnt get flooded with lost puppies and the like. Here we goA basic ruleset for EYES UP ALERTS1 Must include city state and country in title2 Must include the event (missing dog, cat, charity work etc)3 Must be posted by a previous r/PokemonGo user (no new accounts or non associated accounts, we want trainers bringing us the ideas not random sources)4 Cannot include manhunts for missing people (dont want to create stalker situations)5 Must include a means to contact the owner of pet, or originator of charity work6 Must include current photo of pet if pet if missing pet is involved.7 A single update post after the event is over, or pet is found is allowed. All other updates must be made in the original post.Actions mods will be taking related to this1 Create an eyes up tag.2 Make sure eyes up alerts follow these guides.3 Listen for feedback from the community if we find the sub too flooded with these types of posts4 Encourage cross posting to local subs as well.5 Edit rules to include eyes up rule.My personal thoughts on this topic and why I would like it going forward.I think that PokemonGo has cause a lot of tension in communities due to increased traffic, waste production and things like that. See car accidents attributed to us, strict greenspace usage laws in Wisconsin, graveyards getting shutdown because of trashy players, the holocaust museum news from early on etc. This is an opportunity to truly use a game for good, something few games have the chance to do.What do we want from trainers?Your feedback.Likes and dislikes of the general idea and rules around it.Thoughts on if this will be generally good for you, this sub, the perception of PokemonGo as a whole.Similar programs on your local discords or other subs.Literally any feedback on the topic is welcomed and will be considered before we make anything live. Also if you think of a cooler name than Eyes Up Alert, feel free to include that as well. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2Yr1eaj
