"People seem to forget that not every exclusive move has to make a Pokémon useful"

#PokemonGO: I've seen a lot of people complain about Niantic giving Snorlax the move Yawn for this special event. Sure, in Pokémon GO it's a useless move given to Slaking to make up for his ability to not have an ability and it really doesn't do anything for Snorlax since he doesn't have that same ability. But people seem to forget that not every event exclusive move has to make a Pokémon more useful. Look at the main games: there are two moves that you can only get in events that do nothing but give a little animation: Celebrate and Hold Hands. For the Pokémon that receive them, it's just a fun little move to make the Pokémon that much more special. That's exactly what's going on with Snorlax here. And plus, nobody said you have to keep Yawn on Snorlax if you don't like it. So I don't see why people have to complain about it so much when it's just a fun sleeping move implemented onto a sleeping Pokémon to promote a sleeping game. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2EGFRdD
