"Raid Tier Frustrations"

#PokemonGO: I have been frustrated with raid tiers in PoGo for a while. The first one is very obvious: why does a tier 1 raid cost the same as a tier 5 raid? When you do a tier 1 raid you don't get rewards anywhere near as good as a tier 5 raid. And generally speaking, the legendary raid bosses are the most useful Pokemon in the game. For the longest time, myself and the gang I raid with hardly ever did raids other than tier 5 because of these reasons. There were exceptions of course. Tyranitar we did a lot of raids. Then Absol. A few other tier 4 raids like that for the most part. Things changed when Shinx was introduced. Everybody went crazy doing a lot of Shinx raids for the shiny Shinx. During this period it was so obvious how literally useless these raids were for the amount of money people were spending. So basically, my frustration is not with the tiers of raids. The tiers are cool. They make sense. The various Pokemon in these tiers generally make sense. The rewards make sense. Everything except the cost. I think each tier should have a different raid pass. Or to keep things simple, there could be 2 types of raid passes: one for tiers 1-3 and one for tiers 4 and 5. Clearly there are a lot of ways this can be done but the current model just sucks.​The second frustration I have is the shiny rates in raids. Why do different tiers and different Pokemon have different shiny rates? Why does a legendary shiny have 1 in 19 shiny chance and a tier 1 Machop a 1 in 450 (afaik)? They cost the same amount of coins so why the vast discrepancy? On top of that different Pokemon have different shiny rates in raids too making the whole thing confusing to people. I have players on our discord regularly asking if shiny rates are better in raids for Pokemon like Dratini, Cubone, Aipom, etc. and we have to explain to them that they are not any better and there is just no point in wasting money trying to get one of these 1 in 450 odds shinies via Tier 1 raids. I think all Pokemon in raids should have the same shiny rate regardless of the tier (ideally the 1 in 19 or better rate). via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2WfT07t
