"[Story] I get the most fun from short-manning public raids."

#PokemonGO: A friend and I were trying to duo an Azelf today. My (L40) min-maxed team (SC Gengar, 2x Lick Gengar, 2x SB Mewtwo, TTar, all level 40) could definitely pull its weight in a duo attempt. My friend (L38) is more casual (High TTar, Lick Gengar, Origin Tina, and filler). We barely timed out, hampered by that bug where you don't automatically go to the team select after your mons all faint. We re-entered the lobby to try again, and were soon joined by a L31, and figured even a small contribution would push us over the line. Soon after, a L24 joined and we were probably good.L31 ghosted right before the start, probably hoping to relobby with more players. I'm sure public raiders are used to the quit-and-relobby routine, but I get annoyed when its done with viable groups. Better auto-selection and higher SE multipliers have now made smaller groups more viable so we shouldn't have to wait for 10+ players anymore. My friend and I both use the empty team trick to get into the raid fast and see after a few seconds that L24 followed us in. We try to set a good pace to encourage them to stay in - they're holding their own! It's a mish-mosh of a team, but I see a Giratina, a lick snorlax, and we're hitting all the milestones ahead of pace. We're into the yellow by ~200 seconds. We slow down a bit to relobby but finish up with over a minute to spare. High raid rewards all around while L31 was probably still waiting for a team. Hopefully they become more aggressive and it promotes the trend of smaller teams in the neighborhood. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2JtpCUe
