"Spawn update at pokestops. Can confirm?"
#PokemonGO: I had an ingress portal submission approved on Aug 20th. It didn't appear in PoGo because there is a gym in the same L17 S2 cell. To the left of this new portal is a portal that went online as a pokestop long ago but it never produced a spawnpoint (even under events). Neither could it reach the gym's spawnpoints to show on its radar (the gym is a bit farther south). So, I was curious if any new spawnpoints from the new portal would be captured by the barren pokestop's radar when the next update happened.Well, this evening I went around my neighborhood to walk my Feebas the last meters to get to the 20km. As I was getting back home, after 7pm Brasilia Time (3pm PDT), I noticed a new spawnpoint was showing near the barren pokestop. I kept my game open while I observed this new spawnpoint on my radar at home until it despawned at 8:04pm. I'm going to go there tomorrow to see if any other new spawnpoint appeared to the other side where the pokestop can't reach. Can anyone confirm new spawnpoints showing near recent pokestops?EDIT:Just like in the example above, sometimes a recent ingress portal or even an approved nomination from GO that did'nt go online in GO will also produce new spawnpoints. This can cause the following effects:a) Some of the new spawnpoints are captured by an old, non-productive pokestop's radar. This results in the illusion that the old pokestop took forever to start producing spawns. (my case)b) They are captured by close pokestops which already had spawnpoints. They just show additional spawnpoints now, and produce the illusion that an event is going on and new spawnpoints were added.c) The new spawnpoints are close to a gym or not close enough to another pokestop for them to appear on the radar. They act like rogue spawnpoints on the map. Therefore, the actual question is: Can anyone confirm new spawnpoints around recent approved POIs (whether they went online in GO or not)? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/340WLhR
