"Not everything is shiny"

#PokemonGO: This is my first post in this subreddit inspired by a recent post. During the recent mewtwo ultra bonus event, I and 2 of my friends ended up buying 3-4 ultra boxes for the first time just for raid passes. We kept raiding in different places but neither of us ended up with a shiny Mewtwo despite 30-40 raids. Being disappointed we decided to quit the game because we felt it was unfair from Niantic to reward casual players or players who spend money to events to be rewarded well... it was ethics vs money for shiny. Either way, after reading the recent post I felt its not about the shiny. It's about being in the moment playing with friends and enjoying the time spend... It's not about the eggs hatched but the distance you walked that would help keep you in good health. There was a time we went crazy for a Mewtwo (2016)... now that we have that in abundance we are going crazy for a shiny Mewtwo... it's nothing but greed to have more... So even if you guys missed out on a shiny or 100iv or whatever... this game wasn't about these things in the first place. It was about encouraging people to go out and play and have a moment together, be healthy and live happily. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2lhbq7d
