"Can we talk about how Pokémon Go switched from using health app data to tracking your location for measuring adventure sync distances"

#PokemonGO: I’m kinda surprised this wasn’t a bigger deal to more people. Adventure sync used to just use the data from my health app to determine how far I walked, and now the app is tracking my location even when the app isn’t open just so I can get credit for my walking distance. The old system worked fine for me. I think it’s pretty clear that niantic made the switch so they could sell user location data. Why are people so ok with this? via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2JnzePH
