"Kanto must be the most zoologicaly boring place in the world."

Nearly all of the 151 original Pokemon can be found in other parts of the world, but not the other way around. The technical reasons are obvious as other games/cards hadn't been invented yet, but just imagine a place like that. Living in a place with no unique creatures (in a world obsessed with such creatures) would be pretty boring. It's no wonder that it was a kid that filled out the Pokedex. They would have the enthusiasm for such a task. Oak was probably like "Gee, this place is interesting. Look kid, just show up when you find something interesting," then the kid never shows up. A great way to parent his grandson. It makes me wonder if Kanto region had some sort of ecology disaster that killed all the Pokemon and then the super common ones migrated in years later. Maybe it was the war that was mentioned by Surge.I guess it's just a weird thing I've been thinking about lately. I can't be the only one to think of this right? via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2rxfO4O
