"Let's thank the Pokémon team for one of the most innovative and charming projects of 2019"

They poured their hearts into it, and it shows. They made the world of Pokémon feel alive, with color, life and imagination bursting from every corner. Sure it may be a little formulaic and was overshadowed by better projects from other franchises, but it's basically par for the course at that point. And don't get me started on the human characters and Pokémon alike - they're always a welcome presence and are full of charm, quirk and personality. Not to mention that fan-favorite Charizard appears prominently, but it's rather tasteful, not letting it take over the story while doing a fantastic job showing its power and rage. Overall, this is a project by people who love the Pokémon franchise, great for kids and adults alike without compromising the tastes of either group.
