"People often say "we'll forget it in a week". Let's make sure it doesn't happen."

One of the most common things you'll hear people say is that "you'll buy it anyway" or "everyone will forget about it" when we present issues with a game. And that's something that tends to happen often. The complaints get discussed leading up to the game's release and a little after it comes out and then people stop talking about it as if nothing bad every happened. And I feel like we should not let that happen, here's why:Sword and Shield, regardless of your opinion about it, is a game made with not a whole lot of effort in them. Some choose to ignore the flaws and enjoy it regardless, some voice their distaste. But what we shouldn't forget is that this is very likely what the standard will be when it comes to the quality and content of the series. A little chunk of the entire pokemon roster being available, graphics not up to the Switch's capabilities, stiff animations, one off gimmicks that are more often misses than hits, not to mention all the "features" that overcasualize the game. If we stop voicing our opinion that we want more from these games, the series will never evolve or get better. Gamefreak, along with the crowd that keep buying the games regardless will assume we have moved on and accepted everything. And surely that is not true, right? We're going to have to keep addressing our complaints and letting everyone else know that we will not lower our standards and bow down to Gamefreak's lazy decisions. I advise everyone who even remotely cares about the future of this series to keep letting your voices be heard and fight for a better pokemon! Please excuse the sloppy wording via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/33Tc3EX
