"We are in the Dork Age of Pokemon and it too shall pass"

Why all the simplification and the gen I pandering? Think about it! Genwunners used to be a rather significant part of the fandom and actively hated BW to no end. XY had a lot of gen 1 catering and so did everything after it. Why? Because nintendo saw that the Genwunners were growing up. Grown ups spend a lot of money to feel nostagic, and what kind of nostalgia is in? 90's.But, someday, us who grew up with Gen3 through 5 will be in the same position as the genwunners. IF you were born in 98' (like I was), you're 22 now. in 21' you'll be 23. You're adults now. Nintendo knows you'll pay good money to experience the old games with a new cot of paint, so I have absolute faith they will pull all stops in the DP remakes. And then, from there on, we'll have things like alternate battle types and complex facilities and modular gimmicks and such. We, the fans, are the true controllers of pokemon's evolution. We're the trainer here. They might make the game, but Nintendo has awlays had an ear for the fans. Those fans they cater too now are the genwunners, but they will stop and cater to the fans of the 2000's and early 2010's games. It changes with the culture. The current pokemon fandom is nostalgia obsessed. If that means that gen 1 nostalgia can be milked, it can mean nostalgia for all the gens can be milked. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2VZU3aJ
