"Pokémon’s future"

Hi, this is my first post here. I wanted to discuss a topic that’s been bothering me lately. Btw, this is my opinion and feel free to say your opinion. I think Pokemon is becoming a terrible franchise. Sword and Shield in my opinion are one of the worst games in the series. They feel rushed, and GameFreak lied to us. The expansion pass has some great features and content, but of course, it is 30$ for an “incomplete” game. On top of that, if you want to transfer Pokemon from older gens, you gotta pay 16$ for a 2MB folder. Absolutely ridiculous. GameFreak/TPC knows that Pokemon games don’t need much effort anymore. They only need the games to promote the anime, merchandise, etc. Another major problem is the sales. Sword and Shield have sold so well. The games won’t be improving much anymore. Now, my biggest concern is what’s next. A lot of people are predicting Gen 4 remakes in 2021. I’m very worried for that game. Gen 4 are my first and favorite games in the series, but I’m worried it will turn into something incomplete and lazy. I really don’t know how people can defend PokEAmon anymore, and I don’t know if the series will ever become great again.Thank you for reading.
