"[OPINION] All further Safari Zones and GO Fests should have a ‘Play at Home’ Ticket"

#PokemonGO: First of all, sorry for grammar, spelling and other mistakes of the sort. Not a natives English speaker. Now I know that Safari Zones are meant to be a location specific thing that shows off a certain park. But we all know that it is also a way for Niantic to earn money. Of course Niantic also has costs like setting up team lounges, organising guards, getting a permit from cities, etc. With this year’s GoFest Niantic had 0 costs. This event was complete profit for them. Now I know that most people go to Safari Zones to also enjoy the community aspect of it and trade for regionals, but there is a lot of people who are unable to go because of their jobs or schools (in my case college). So what I am proposing is both an opportunity for people who are unable to go to events and a way for Niantic to reduce costs.Introducing a ‘Play at Home’ ticket. My idea with it is that people who are not at the Safari zone could play the event just like they could for Safari Zones earlier this year. That would reduce travel costs and people could play together (after the Pandemic ends) in their own communities. And Niantic could host a smaller event at the location of said Safari Zone for people who enjoy traveling and who are able to travel. (That would also reduce Niantics costs wink)Anyway yeah, that is my idea, I assuming that people will be outraged to hear this, but I am hoping that a Niantic employee sees this and maybe it becomes a thing!Edit: I understand that the way I worded the post makes it look like Niantic had no costs regarding server maintenance, staff and equipment. The costs I mentioned were related to location related costs like certain permits and stuff like that.Sorry for the confusion. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/3hDV0NH
