"Remote invites are great! We need a ready up button now more than ever!"

#PokemonGO: I am loving the invite system overall. Where I specifically live, the closest gym is 5 minutes away. The closest gym where people actually raid is 15 minutes away (because there are about 20 of them in a concentrated area) I personally live in a rural area, but am close enough to a somewhat decently sized population area provided I want to drive into town. This brings up one pretty big issue with the new invite system which is the raid timers are not long enough to account for the latency between invite sent and invite received. I've received invites from people who sent them as soon as they got into the lobby, I accepted them as soon as they appeared on my game, and gotten into a lobby with 20 seconds left. That is barely enough time to change your pokemon if you don't have a pre-selected team. I know you can always have someone start a lobby, invite a bunch of people, then back out and start a new lobby, but that adds a lot of potential communication issues if everyone isn't on the same page.I think that they need to do both of the following: (Very important, wouldn't want to see 2, without 1 also being applied)Add a ready button, when everyone is ready the raid starts regardless of timeIncrease the timer by 1 minute (I only say do this if they also add a ready button, we obviously don't want longer lobby timers overall, though we all know if Niantic sees this post this is the only line they will read.)For someone that's inviting, in order to prevent the raid from starting before their invitees have joined, they can just not ready up until they see their invitees have joined. The proposed 3 minute timer still allows for the raid to start if someone forgets to mark themselves as ready to prevent someone holding the raid hostage. Additionally the "ready button" could be set to only become available after a certain amount of time (say 30 seconds to prevent an issue where people are still coming to the gym but haven't gotten there yet)These are just some thought's I've had about the new system.Edit:TLDR: Remote raids are great, but the timer on raids is pretty tight for inviting people, the timer needs to be increased to account for this, but it shouldn't be increased without adding a ready button. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/39b4gWQ
