If they limit number of megas to one per group, then mega evolutions will not affect raids AT ALL. Let's take an example. Let' say a party consisting of one specific mega evolution allows you to deal 5% more damage to a boss than in the case of an usual Pokemon. Then one mega evolution allows you to deal about 5 / (from 10 to 18)% more damage, which is 0.5% at best. Will it be noticeable? No, isn't it? So let's hope that there will be no restrictions, or they will not be so severe.IntroductionThe game features 5 fire type mega evolutions: Mega Blaziken, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Houndoom, Mega Charizard X, Mega Camerupt. All of them have have enogh attack to be used in raids.Stats of fire type mega evolutions are shown in the following picture:​Stats of fire type mega evolutionsFire type Pokemon deal more damage to Bug, Grass, Ice, and Steel to Pokemon. So these mega evolutions can potentially be useful against: Genesect, Regice, Registeel, Cobalion, Shaymin. Articuno, Virizion, Heatran and Dialga are excluded from this list because Articuno has double vulnerability to rock type, Virizion has double vulnerability to flying, Heatran has double vulnerability to ground, and Dialga takes neutral damage from fire type attacks.vs BugThe only suitable bug type boss is Genesect. Moreover, its second type, steel, makes Genesect double vulnerable to fire, so against this boss, fire type mega evolutions need to outperform normal fire type fire Pokemon in terms of damage.Fire vs GenesectThe best Pokemon against Genesect are as follows:​Genesect top countersFire type mega evolutions result:​Fire vs GenesectThe best fire type mega evolution in this case turns out to be Blaziken! Taking Blaziken in your team you sometimes are able to defeat Genesect in solo even without a weather boost! And with a weather boost, this "sometimes" easily turns into "almost always".Mega Charizard Y also shows very impressive results, it lags behind Mega Blaziken by less than 2 percent. Mega Charizard X is also very good, but still it looks faded against the background of Mega Blaziken. It's all about significantly lower attack, while all three of these Pokemon have the same moveset.Mega Houndoom has great difficulty outclassing Reshiram in damage, and here it's not about the attack, but about the fact that Flamethrower is much worse than Blast Burn.Mega Camerupt doesn't show any good result. Charizards and Blaziken show excellent damage thanks to their CD move Blast Burn. At the same time, due to its slightly higher attack, Blaziken occupies the first line, BUT this is not enough to outclass Mega Lucario, which has a higher attack, better resistances and most importantly - Aura Sphere!Conclusion (TL;DR)The fire type mega evolutions with Blast Burn are very, very good, they are able to set a new level of damage in raids, especially Mega Blaziken.
