"Trainers should be able to send/accept remote raid invites BEFORE entering the lobby not after"

#PokemonGO: After complaining about how long the raid lobby lasted for the past four years, it's crazy that we're now in a situation where, all too often, it doesn't seem long enough. The problem is remote raiding and managing invites which is slow and stressful, particularly with the window to the invites closing 30 seconds before the battle is engaged. There are many reasons for this - the friends list is already one of the slowest features of the game and it can take time to load. The sort by online option isn't perfected yet and often fails to put online players at the top. The invite layout is glitchy so that scrolling often inadvertently selects players you don't intend to invite (not to mention, the count bar at the bottom hiding the fifth trainer on the screen). And, of course, if you or the Trainer you're trying to invite are laggy...At the same time, the lobby time can no longer be used for selecting a team or healing mons for either the inviting player (who is spending their time inviting) or the remote player (who usually enters the lobby with a significantly reduced timeframe). One solution would be a "Ready to Go" button that would let players indicated they are ready to rock. Given how long the community has wanted that, I'm not holding my breath.A better solution might be to let trainers set up a remote team (by sending and accepting) before the raid lobby clock is actually going. That let's everyone get ready to raid so that once the lobby time starts it can be used for team selection and bag use etc. Everyone in the remote raid group is tied to the inviting player who decides when they go, and like now, no one's raid pass is used up until the raid actually begins. The biggest problem I can see with this is that you run into issues if a group is too large to fit into an existing lobby. That seems like a pretty easy fix, too. Just have the new raid group start a new lobby. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/39JjoLf
