"ARCore interference to update"

#PokemonGO: Sept 10th, 2020, my game started popping up an ARCore update screen with every click on a pokemon. There is no update in the play store, I have rebooted. I have deleted game and reinstalled, same warning screen. I have tried the older fix of turning off the camera, it does not work. No option do delete or disable ARCore. This is too annoying to play the game if I have to click off an "update needed" screen each catch. Is there a real fix for this? I am aware of others having the same problem.
