"Daily cap on Mega-energy earned from walking with your buddy?"

#PokemonGO: I put Pidgeot as my buddy earlier today, have been walking around a lot. For the first 4km I walked, I earned 5 Mega-Energy/km as expected, for a total of 20 Mega-Energy.But after that, I stopped earning any Mega-Energy per km walked. I'm still earning walking candies and hatching eggs, so that's probably not an Adventure Sync problem.Wondering if they put a daily cap on how much Mega-Energy you can earn by walking with your buddy? Or might that be linked to the buddy level (my Pidgeot is only good buddy now)?TIA for any info!EDIT: changed my buddy to a Beedrill, and not earning any Mega-Energy for it either.
