But Game Freak also may think it caters to the adults too.They probably think that all the adults want is to get through the single player game as fast as possible, so they can get started IV breeding and EV training for the competitive scene. And it's easier and faster for them to get to that point if the game is easy and linear.And the casual adults that just want the single player?
