EDIT: Forgot to clarify in the title; this is for ONLINE.I, honest to god, have no idea how Gamefreak didn't even bother to explain how this worked. I figured this out literally earlier today (over a year after release) and I feel like it is CRIMINAL how few people know about this.Make sure you and your friend are in the same wild area. So you can't be in isle of armor while your friend's in crown tundra, et cetera.You and your friend must both search to trade for each others' League Cards using said function in Y-comm. You HAVE to set a link code.After trading League Cards, you and your friend should both appear for each other in the overworld; this includes camping tents, too!If one or both of you aren't appearing for each other, try...Going into a camp and leaving (what worked for my friend so they'd appear for me)Going offline/online againGoing into the nearest town and coming out (preferably without flying? this is what worked to force myself to appear for my friend)I really hope this becomes more common knowledge.
