"The Significance of Animation Week's Quests"

#PokemonGO: Animation Week's Timed Research is based off of the events of Pokemon Journeys, but the tasks seem super random and somewhat out of order, and the rewards seem equally as random. These are the corresponding reasons for each research step:Step 1 - Episode 1: kinda boring but Ash's Pikachu, only a Pichu, is fed some berries by an adoptive Kanghaskhan.Step 2 - Episode 2: Ash meets Goh (Battle a trainer), and they take on Lugia together (Raid battle).Step 3 - Episode 3: Whole plot of this episode revolves around a bunch of Ivysaur migrating somewhere to evolve. After meeting our favorite Team Rocket members (Defeat 3 Rocket Grunts), Ash and Goh find a mysterious energy being given off by the fully evolved Venusaur (but the closest to weird energy we have is Mega energy soooo...).Step 4 - Episode 4-5: This one is all about friendship with a Pokemon, in parallel this is where Goh meets and befriends Scorbunny. Hijinks ensue and Scorbunny apparently steals treats. In the next episode, Ash and Goh meet a Gigantamax'd Snorlax.Step 5 - Episode 6: Goh wants to fill his Pokedex so he goes to the Kanto region to catch a bunch of Bug Pokemon, and he has a particularly hard time with a Scyther and a Venonat.Step 6 - Episode 7: Goh faces an irritating trainer with a Hariyama when he enters a fighting tournament.Step 7 - Episode 8: A Sinnoh trainer has two Pokemon, a Piplup and a Croagunk, that are rivaling for their trainer's attention. Said trainer also gains a Psyduck (I guess its shiny because they were in an ice berg race? so it looks cold?)Step 8 - Episode 9: This one is kinda weird but the gang tries to find a Ho-Oh (Catch a flying type??), and find out about a fake Ho-Oh (purify a shadow Pokemon??) which turns out to be a Fearow. A pair of characters in particular have a Hoothoot and a Cyndaquil.Step 9 - Episode 10: The gang goes to Dragonite Island (Dratini Encounter), and use a Dewgong to get there. I guess the dragon scale is because this is a Dragon island?Step 10 - Episode 11: Home base is now haunted by a Gengar, and one of the researchers that it messes with owns a Magnemite. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2IbIj0A
