"HG/SS Distribution Pokemon Update - Specific Dates"

I presume most people know the distribution trick for generations 4 and 5 by now. There are several videos of how to do it and it seems to have been around for more than two years now. That being said, in attempting to make this work for my generation 4 games (which are far more stubborn than the generation 5 games) I went deep enough down the rabbit hole to stumble upon a trick - which others have discussed. Using this trick, you can actually change the date to get the distribution Pokemon or item of you choice. And that's where I come in. I have yet to see a list of what dates lead to what Pokemon or item. So I'd like to offer the following list to help others ensure they get the Pokemon of their desire and not just a random Pokemon or event item leading to lots of tries. This list is for HG/SS only and if people enjoy this list, I'm happy to take the time to make similar lists for Platinum and Black.First off, ensure you understand how this trick works. I highly recommend using a wifi hotspot through your phone, which is what I did. Generation 4 is stubborn because of its antiquated security needs for connections. I did have to make my device an open network, so please be aware of any security risks that does involve.Secondly, I've seen a few different DNS addresses people used, but for this trick, you need to specifically use: 172.104.88.237.Do not put anything for a secondary DNS, just leave it as is. You must change this setting for both your 3DS network connection to your hotspot (or router if you have a much older router that will connect to generation 4) and within the connection information of the game itself - located at the menu just after the title screen. Before I get to the list, note that the connection to this server is very hit or miss. I promise it works, but there will be times it just doesn't want to connect. I normally set my 3DS to the side and give it about 10 minutes and I'm right back to receiving gifts. This was all performed on a 3DS XL, so it should work for any device as well. There are MANY great video guides on Youtube for setting up the DNS.Once you have it all setup, you will need to change your date of your DS to the date listed below. This is done in the settings menus with other options. All dates below are in the American Month/Day/Year format, please adjust accordingly. Now, on to the list!04/28/2014 - Winner's Path Pokewalker Route Map04/29/2014 - Shiny Eevee04/30/2014 - Mew05/01/2014 - Enigma Stone05/02/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/03/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/03/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/04/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/05/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/06/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/07/2014 - Legendary Trio of Johto *05/08/2014 - Celebi05/09/2014 - Celebi05/10/2014 - Celebi05/11/2014 - Ash's Pikachu05/12/2014 - Crobat (Battle of Kona)05/13/2014 - Pokewalker Route Map *05/14/2014 - Pokewalker Route Map *05/15/2014 - Pokewalker Route Map *05/16/2014 - Lock Capsule05/17/2014 - Jirachi05/18/2014 - Jirachi05/19/2014 - Yellow Forest Pokewalker Route Map05/20/2014 - Winner's Path Pokewalker Route Map05/21/2014 - Shiny Eevee05/22/2014 - Mew- For the Legendary Trio and the Pokewalker Routes, I had already used this trick to receive them and therefore can't say for sure which route or beast you will get. The beasts likely each last for two days, so use one date then skip a day to get to the next one. Each beast is shiny and can be used for an in game event (as well as Celebi) if you move them to Black and White with the Relocator. As you can see the pattern does repeat and it likely would work across any set of days. I'm just hoping to save some people the time and hassle of tracking down each day. Due to server instability, this took me close to two hours. Please don't Reddit hug it to death.I hope this helps someone. Happy hunting! via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/39eeI1d
