"I cannot be the only one excited to see a split in the main games in relation to graphics presentation."
So to start off, I have to just say that in regards to the main line of pokemon games, I'm a bit of a purist. I'm 25 years old and have been playing Pokemon since the Gameboy Color days. I've enjoyed seeing the growth of the franchise, and the new games exploring new avenues of graphical enhancements. However, as of recently, the escape from Chibi-Style overworld characters has somewhat turned me off to the graphics style of the mainline games. I understand why they left that behind, but that doesn't mean I have to love it.Seeing the split in the main line of games between the Gen 4 Remakes and what I assume will be a new series (legends) I love having two different graphics styles for two different styles of games. The Chibi-Style for old school gym defeating games, and the BOTW style for the true RPG games that will more than likely be a much more immersive experience without the nostalgia blasting-overplayed gym/challenge based games.I also have a feeling the Legends series will be much more taylored to adults, with tags at our nostalgia but also more mature play styles and graphical designs. Something adults may appreciate more than the typical target audience of children.Does anyone else recognize this and/or agree or disagree? I think this is a great basis for discussion, let me know what you think! via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3bISYKW
