"Pokemon sword and shield has become my new favorite pokemon game."
My very first Pokemon game was Red version when it was released. I never hated the game but it had it's obvious flaws. Pokemon Crystal version is what made me fall in love with pokemon. Gen 2 and Gen 3 were always my favorites and imo were the best ever made. When Gen 4 came out, it didn't have the same nostalgic feeling that the first 3 had and I kinda fell out of the series. I didn't play Gen 5 because well... The mons kinda looked lame to me and I didn't care for Sun/Moon for some reason so I didn't play the sequels. So when Sw/Sh came out, I was hesitant to believe it would be a good game.I WAS WRONG.This game is amazing! It's beautiful aesthetics and sound track are nothing to scoff at. Not to mention the variety of mons in the game. I love the fact that I can still have fun playing the game even after finishing it. I'm not bogged down by HM slaves and I can actually run a full team of Pokemon that I like rather than having to carry around a water and flying type and a nidoqueen slave. This makes Pokemon, such as nidoqueen for example, actually usable in battle. I definitely prefer the dynamax mechanic to the mega mechanic (some of my favorite mons looked pretty dumb in mega-form). I could go on and on about why I love Gen 8, but to make it short, I JUST FREAKING LOVE GEN 8.Good job Gamefreak, this is a step in right direction for my [2nd] favorite video game franchise and you got me back into the franchise. I'm even getting into competitive because I love it so much!Sincerely, A happy trainer. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3sU2ama
