"What if Australia was a Pokemon region"

If Gamefreak decides to base their next pokemon region (gen 9) on Australia, here's what I think they should do:StartersGrass: A Diprotodon (giant wombat). It starts off as a pure grass type and gains the ground type after fully evolving.Fire: A taipan. It remains a dual Fire/Poison type throughout its entire evolutionary stageWater: A platypus. It becomes part poison after fully evolvedEarly Route PokemonRegional Rodent: A two-stage normal/rock type evolutionary line based on the rock ratRegional Bird: A two-stage ground-type evolutionary line based on the cassowary. The final evolved form gains either the fighting or dark type (to fit its aggressive, fighting behavior)Regional Bug: Bug/Dark type Regional variant of the Joltik lineOther Pokemon encountered in the Wild:A Rock/Psychic type regional variant of the Rolycoly line based on crystal formationsA Normal/Water type two-stage evolutionary line based on the Newfoundland dogA Water/Dark type regional variant of the Sandile lineA Ground type Kangaroo (two stage evolution; final stage becomes part fighting if male and normal if female)Fossil PokemonGrass/Dark-type Tasmanian tigerGround type Moa bird via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2RBHQck
