"What's up with people backing out of raids super late?"
#PokemonGO: Title basically. Had a remote pass wasted today because a lobby of four turned into a lobby of two with literally no time for me to possibly react - I'm talking 1 second on the timer. The other person who was with me didn't actually fight the boss at all (not that I blame them). I feel like I have to ask why people do this. Is it done on purpose to waste others' passes? I can't imagine people are scared of Landorus given that I can do a third of its health bar alone (as I learned today, lol) and I'm only level 34, and I don't have a huge storage of the best attackers of each type or anything. But like, I guess I'm a bit salty because it's not like they're giving away mountains of passes, and as a f2p player it just feels extra insulting when what little resources I do get just disappear because people don't bother leaving earlier for the people around them.Overall I'm not that bothered cause it was a free remote pass, I'm not super interested in Lando-T raids without the shiny chance anyway, and I also realize that it's not only just a game, but a relatively small part of the game. But like... come on, guys.Stuff like this makes me feel like there should be some kind of system for players to communicate between each other in raid lobbies. If the game is changing to accommodate for the pandemic, that means people won't be able to talk to each other, you know? Like, make it so that if a player leaves the lobby the timer gets extended or something. Allow people to say in a little lobby chat how many players they want before they'll commit. Or just let people keep their passes if they lose a raid - that could address the problem of people being scared to commit right at the root (they don't want their passes to end up like mine).I think Pokemon Go has so much potential as a game. I still enjoy it because it's a fun way to find new places to go when I'm out for walks and such, but like, it could be so much more if Niantic would take the time to rework and improve existing systems for the sake of QoL. It's really disappointing that, like other corporations, they chose the unfortunately profitable mobile game business strategy where they keep players coming back by drip-feeding shiny new content (pun sort of intended?) in piecemeal packages instead of improving on what they already have. This turned into a bit of a rant about the profit motive making things I like worse, lol sorry about that. The point of all this is, please be nice. Thank you if you read all this. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2P3dLl2
