"How didn't Game Freak realize the potential for 3D models?"

I was just playing Sword and I looked at Blaziken's 3D model, it's almost perfect. Blaziken has this battle stance like he's ready, hands up front, eyes on the target and on the other hand there's Pikachu who's just standing. Why's this the case?On top of this, they have been reusing the same models for 7 years. 7 YEARS.If you see, from Red and Blue to Black and White - every generation added a new sprite, making it look fresh and new. Every game felt like "Hey, there's Lucario! My boy looks super cool in this generation!". This quickly changed after X and Y. The same sprite, which looked super DEAD INSIDE. Lets take Pikachu as an example again - a Pokémon should not be that motionless other than the breathing, I say - the sprites should be similar to Pikachu's battle stance in the anime, (on 4 legs, with battle expression in his eyes) I cannot again see a Pikachu or literally anyone else, Blastoise? Blastoise also just stands there like there's no battle he's just reflecting on his past mistaking thinking why dont people choose me instead of Charmander and then bam Mewtwo hits him with a Hyper Beam. The idle stance should strictly be there for inspecting - in the box, team menu, etc. Every Pokemon should have a BATTLE STANCE, like Blaziken. Imagine if Blaziken just stood still like his standing position when he's following you in Crown Tundra, that's what every other Pokemon is doing. Give them a battle stance, legs cocked and ready to attack or on 4 legs about to do a Volt Tackle. Give them a battle stance, please. ITS BEEN 7 YEARS.PS I know people must have thought about it before but had to write down my thoughts somewhere via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/38lBV0o
