"Unpopular Opinion: The "Sound Type" shouldn't be added."

When the discussion of "What types could Game Freak add next?" comes up, the idea of a Sound Type will inevitably come up. It seems to be a rather popular idea and... well, I just don't see it.It is true that we have a number of sound based moves in Pokemon, I feel like that alone doesn't justify it. Especially since there are only four Pokemon lines that could fit: Exploud, Chatot, Rillaboom, and Toxtricity. And even in the case of Rillaboom Toxtricity, I highly doubt they would become a Sound Type if the type was added since the whole point of the Gen 8 starters is they were all Monotype and Toxtricity... well, it's pretty much named after its typing of Poison Electric. To justify adding the Sound Type, they would need to add a bunch of new Sound Type Pokemon. Even moreso than they added with the Fairy Type. Which brings me to my next point.The Sound Type has very limited potential. I mean really, what all could they do with it? They could make a speaker, but I'm pretty sure that's what Exploud is already. They could make Instrument Pokemon, and that's be neat for like 1 or 2 lines of Pokemon, but that concept would get boring really fast.Ultimately in my opinion, sound is a gimmick rather than an element.
