"legends Arceus just closed one of the most cofusing plot holes in the series. (Spoilers for postgame)"
It always struck me as odd that in Platinum, Giratina shows up out of nowhere at the last second to stop Cyrus from using the red chain to force Dialga and Palkia to remake the world for him. What did it have to gain from it, and even more so, why would a Pokémon who is essentially the game's devil, cast away for its violence, care about the world?I'd mostly forgotten about it until today after I beat the superboss of the game, Volo and Giartina. Afterwards, Volo tells Professor Laventon what happened and apparently remadked that Giratina now wants to PROTECT the world instead of destroy it thanks to our efforts. And so it comes full circle. Giratina protected the world for us, so we could protect the world for it in the future/past. It also explains why it's okay with being caught, Darn/Lucas are clearly descended from the Legends protagonists, so it'd recognize them. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/a2pSAfq
