"What’s your favorite region and why?"

For me it’s easy, Hoenn. Everything from the starters and their evolutions, to the new Pokémon added. The legendaries were easily my top favorite, and playing through Emerald with the battle frontier and the island adventure to get Deoxys. It’s all so magical. Not to mention how peak the sprite design was and the map was stunning, with such unique towns & routes (Fortree being my fav of the entire series). And the soundtrack….
