"Water type ONLY Pokemon FireRed Playthrough. This one was really fun to play in just over half a day."

I already made 2 playthroughs (grass type and electric type) and since I found them to be fun, I thought I'd give it a go for using water type Pokemon. However, there are more than 10 water type pokemon, I only used the ones with ONLY water type. So the adventure started with me picking Squirtle as a starter, defeating the Rival and then heading to Brock where I easily defeated the gym to get my first badge. Then after defeated some Geodude in Mt. Moon, I headed straight to Misty to get my 2nd badge. Bite was very useful against the Starmie. After getting the HM cut from the S.S. Anne, I defeated LT. Surge to get my 3rd gym badge. After getting out of Rock Tunnel, my only Pokemon is a level 40 Blastoise. Luckily, I can now get my 2nd water type Pokemon from Celadon City. Got the Eevee and quickly gave him the Water Stone to get the Vaporeon. Train it to level 30 and then head to Lavender Town to get the Pokeflute. After getting that, you can get the fishing rod to complete the rest of the team. I got Goldeen, Psyduck, Horsea, and then Krabby using the Good Rod.After getting Surf from the Safari Zone, you can teach them for all your pokemon. The rest of the Gyms are then quite easy to go through. Defeat Sabrina and Koga with Blastoise's and Vaporeon's Bite, Geovanni and Blaine with Surf, and Erika with Ice Beam.As for the Elite 4, the most difficult one is Lorelei's Ice Type Pokemon. I was able to defeat her using these 3 Pokemon with the following moveset:Vaporeon: Bite - Surf - Ice Beam - HazeBlastoise: Surf - Earthquake - Brick Break - ProtectKingler: Dig - Protect - Strength - ToxicToxic and Dig combined is very interesting to do extra damage from Toxic. After this, the only 2 pokemon that caused trouble were the Rival's Venusaur and Gyarados. Venusaur can be dealt with Ice Beam as for the Gyarados either Toxic or Bite. This was a fast one but really enjoyed it.https://ift.tt/8wHfEij via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/bsFujzK
