"Whatever happened to real-life animals?"

I remember some of the earlier episodes of the anime and recall Pidgey feasting on a worm it found on the ground. Then, in some of the Pokémon moves, they use bugs to illustrate the bugs bombarding the Pokémon. Additionally, some Pokémon are categorized as an animal; for example, Pikachu is categorized as a Mouse.Whatever happened to the real-life animals and why does the Pokémon universe categorize Pokémon as them too?P.S: This is not meant as a bash against the Pokémon universe, but more as a fun post! via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/p02GhAU
