"Location unknown Ingress portals and egg hatching ?"
#PokemonGO: In the light of recent finding regarding regional pokemon Egg hatches, i would like to point out, that in Ingress portals have their post address tied to them. However, very rarily, but it happens, a portal has [location unknown] written on it. From my nearly 600 keys I have 1 such portal. Now, it might be possible that Niantic decided to decipher the region by GPS coordinates, which would be a smart approach but would require immensely more data and harder code. Then, there is a possibility that, if Niantic doesn't know the actual location of a portal, but only it's GPS coordinates, they can't tell in which region the portal ir located. And if the portal becomes a pokestop, it's not locked to a region and eggs obtained from it could hatch region-locked pokemon from all-over the world. Unfortunately i currently don't have the means to test it out, but what are you toughs on this? The GPS coordinates for the portal in question are: 56.957526, 24.122318In ingress it looks like this: http://ift.tt/2aRYg8b via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2aY9A3Z
