"The clock is ticking for Dragonite. Tyranitar is on the way."

#PokemonGO: As soon as Gen II drops, Tyranitar is going to quickly rise to the top tier most over used pokemon in the game for attacking and defending. The current top tier Pokémon filling these rolls are Dragonite and Snorlax.NameAttackDefenseStaminaDragonite250212182Snorlax180180320Dragonite packs tremendous striking power and sizeable bulk and defenses. Snorlax boasts incredible stamina along with decent attack and defense to back it up. These pokémon are hard to deal with because one is an unstoppable force and the other is an immovable object. Tyranitar will be taking both of these qualities and combine them into one incredibly overpowered pokemon. Here's how I know:In this game's current format, the stats of Pokémon are determined with this formula:Base Attack = 2 * ((Atk * SpAtk)^0.5 + Spd^0.5)) Base Defense = 2 * ((Def * SpDef)^0.5 + Spd^0.5)) Base Stamina = 2 * HP Rounded down to the nearest even number. This formula hates speedy min-maxed mons and heavily favors balanced stats with high HP and middle or low speed. This is why Snorlax has become such a threat in this game instead of the main series games that are dominated by speedy sweepers.Using this formula, Tyranitar's stats should look like this:NameAttackDefenseStaminaTyranitar240224200Dragonite250212182Snorlax180180320Nearly all of the striking power of Dragonite, but with the defense and stamina to far outlast its dragon type counterpart. Now, moves make the mon in this game, and it's no different with Tyranitar. Here are some moves that Tyranitar is likely to have access to that are already implemented in the game:Quick Attacks:DPSPowerBite126Fire Fang11.910Shadow Claw11.5811Mud Slap11.1115Rock Smash10.6415Charge Attacks:DPSPowerCrit%Stone Edge25.818050Earthquake23.811005Dragon Claw23.333525Rock Slide15.63505Dark Pulse12.86455In my opinion Bite, Shadow Claw, and Mud Slap are the most likely quick attacks and Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Rock Slide are the most likely charge attacks. If this is the case and Tyranitar has access to any of the above moves, then tyranitar has access to one of the best offensive movesets in the game along with one of the best defensive movesets in the game.Bite + Stone Edge makes for great DPS while both being STAB and having decent coverage along with a nice crit chance on the charge. This is an incredible offensive moveset.Mud Slap + Stone Edge or Rock Smash + Earthquake make for high damage defensive sets that are guaranteed to chunk the opponent for large amounts of HP. Stone edge has STAB and that amazing crit chance while Earthquake has huge damage and a long damage window. This pokemon will likely last long enough to launch several charge attacks, and each will have the power to strip huge percentages of HP and will likely tear through most of a team before it falls.Whenever Gen II is released Tyranitar is going to become a dominating presence only fearing the likes of Vaporeon, Poliwrath, or maybe Steelix (A=176, D=306, S=150) depending on how he turns out. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2bq5Aan
