"You should be able to send up flares to notify other team members of a good Pokemon nearby"
#PokemonGO: It would add a lot more teamwork to the game. If a team member taps on the flare and capture the Pokemon you marked, then you get a small bit of XP as thanks. This would also make the lack of reliable tracking a bit more bearable.edited to add: additional ideas:We can make the flare only usable after you've actually spotted/captured a Pokemon. This will cut down on trolling. (credit:/u/IRCM). Flare should shoot off saying which Pokemon you caught so people don't spam off flares for fun or to trick others. (/u/alkrym).The flares will be limited in number. Maybe you only get one per day, or they only drop from Pokestops on occasion. this way people won't waste their flares on common Pokemon. The flares will have a visibility radius of 3-4 city blocks, making it more effective than shouting things out in real life.Flares can "increase the visibility of the Pokemon", which in real world terms meant it added another 15 minutes to it before it escapes, giving people time to safely (don't want people running through busy intersections) get to the location. (credit: /u/Xbob42)Ingress player /u/disturbdguy says there is already a similar feature like this in Ingress: "There are Beacons you can purchase (yes, real money) for Portals to put an icon over the location in everyone's map." (also confirmed by Ingress player /u/hotstriker9).Adobale idea: "flare could explode into the shape of the pokemon." (/u/Boomey)"red smoke for rare pokemon and black smoke for abnorm...sorry, legendaries." (/u/Rhak)"only allow 1 person to flare per Pokemon spawn to show up, so if 100 people all found a dragonite only 1 flare would show up for said dragonite" (/u/alkrym)"Have the option to not only send a flare, but send one for public, or just your team."
