"A quick word about law enforcement officers."

#PokemonGO: Last night, while out doing an incense run on a gravel road with my wife, we were stopped by some state patrol officers in the area. We had been called in for driving extremely slow late at night. When the officer flipped his lights on, I calmly pulled my vehicle to the shoulder, and he came to my window, and explained that we had been called in as a suspicious vehicle. When he inquired as to what we were doing, we explained that we were playing Pokémon GO, and he asked us a few questions. Upon explaining why we chose to drive a gravel road, due to low speeds and lack of spawn data, he ran our licenses, told us we were free to go, and to play safely. We apologized for wasting his time on something so trivial, and resumed our intended speed of 6mph. No tickets, no searches, just good intentions.I know other players have been stopped before, and despite common sense,I would note that if you politely explain what you're doing, and you're not trespassing or breaking any of your state or local laws, you're likely to get an apology and be on your way.Anyone else want to share their stories, or words of advice for other travelers? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2ct53qZ
